I don’t think there’s really such a thing as a ghost—a soul floating free from the body. Our feelings, our sense of self, are most likely just the result of biochemical processes playing out within us.And yet, I do believe there’s something—some kind of information—that exists in time and space. It isn’t a full personality, not a soul in the traditional sense, but it’s more than nothing. These traces, whatever they are, might hold more meaning in the grand scheme than any individual “self” ever could. The painting “Ghost” is a fairytale. But like all fairytales, it doesn’t come from nowhere. It’s a story shaped by something real—something deeply human. A longing, maybe, or an echo. A way to speak about presence without matter, or movement without purpose. In the end, “Ghost“ is not about spirits or souls. It’s about the human being—weightless, drifting, not needing to understand—just swinging gently through the unknown.
