Piotr Jaros (born 1965, Myślenice) is a Krakow-based painter, draughtsman, and author of photography, video, and sculptural-installation works. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, he evolved from paintings inspired by architectural plans to staged black-and-white photographic tableaux and hybrid installations. His notable series include Umarmen and Middleman, while later projects such as Made in China and Cameras explore irony, observation, and cultural critique.
