As I work, I react to my previous steps. On the one hand, I am guided by indifference, sometimes even reluctance, loosely related to a nihilistic approach to the specifics of the subject, and on the other hand by openness to the subtleties that emerge, which are not obscured by previous assumptions. Sometimes, returning to a painting after a long break, I see how my decisions are based on completely new criteria. Other fragments determine the final outcome.

The thoughts present in the work, in the broadest sense, concern our cognitive condition and related issues of consciousness, ignorance, the phenomenon of cognition, the role of intuition, the subconscious…. Another (partly stemming from the first) theme of the works is nature, its relationship with culture and man torn between the two realities.
